I just heard this sad news yesterday. Very hard to believe, as Shannon and Anna have said. I knew Mike for 25 years at Boeing. People say that someone was a gentleman and a scholar, but all who knew Mike knew it was absolutely true in his case. He was one of the few engineers who actually used true engineering principles in his work. Never took shortcuts. Yet he was so calm and friendly about it. What a shock it was to hear the news about Mike. Unbelievable. What a nice man he was. I remember he would stop anything he was doing just to listen and help out if he could. I will always remember him and his gentle nature. I pray for comfort for the McInnis family. God Bless you all.

We have lost one of the very best - Mike was always kind, quiet, hard-working, extremely intelligent, and ready to help anyone who needed that extra boost or helping to solve any problem. My condolences to his family - he truly loved his 'girls' and would do anything for them. I wish I did not have to say goodbye to yet another friend this year.
