Michael McLaughlin

I was one of Mikes students the year he passed away. I sat by his desk everyday and we’d take turns reading the news and trading the papers back and forth and fighting over which articles we wanted to read first, and then sharing our favorite ones with one another too. Mike was one of the brightest and most dedicated teacher I’ve ever had. The second half of my senior year left a gaping whole where you should’ve been... All your students miss you dearly. Sad to hear of Mike's passing. We both worked at the Northgate Drug store during high school. William F. (senior) was Stuart's godfather. I recall the great times at Margaret and Neal's when the parties moved from 20th to 38th Avenue. Margaret Mclaughlin is a first cousin to Bill Caveney and Margaret McLens. Sisters Loretta Edith Skeehan and Anne Louise Skeehan are grandmothers of Mike and Nancy's generation. Mike will be sorely missed.

Condolences to the entire McLaughlin Family from Cathy Tassone (Penso). I have so many memories of good times spent with the family from 1973-76. Mike was always smiling. When he moved to Nevada City he connected with my cousin, Stephen Tassone. You were always a close knit family. May your love and strength help you through this difficult time and may your memories of Mike comfort you. He is with your forever in your hearts.
