Kansas City, Missouri - Mike was born September 24, 1939, in Kansas City, MO, the son of William Charles and Eileen Kistler McMahon. He attended St. James Catholic School and Lillis High School in Kansas City. He served in the United States Navy, joined the Kansas City Fire Department and retired as a Captain, and spent his remaining working years driving for Botsford/Lafarge. Mike is preceded in death by his parents, and sister Shirley Munsen, He is survived daughter Teresa Reiss (Terry), Olathe KS, sons Steve McMahon (Patricia), Blue Springs MO and Al McMahon (Debbie-Dawn), Kansas City MO; their mother Irene Down; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson; siblings Barbara Pilgrim, Margaret McGowan, Bill McMahon, and Jerry McMahon.
Service 12:00pm Friday May 13, 2022 McGilley & Sheil Funeral Home. Family will receive friends Friday morning starting at 10:00am with a rosary service at 11:30am. Interment Mt Olivet Cemetery, Raytown, MO. Memorials can be made to the American Stroke Foundation, or the American Diabetes Association
