Mike was a good teammate and quite the athlete in both football, basketball and track. Tall and lanky, he was fast for his size and had excellent hands.

Mike and a couple of our other football players used to carpool during late summer two-and three-a-day practices while living in Mt. Prospect, IL. I also had Mike in a couple of my classes at Forest View HS. Following football, we played on the basketball team, too. Mike and I car-pooled to football practice while we were in high school. He was always a fun-loving, friendly guy and a good athlete to boot. We were also in a number of classes together, so I got to know him pretty well. R.I.P big Mike- John Wester

He was a teammate and he was a friend. We recently reunited at our 50th high school reunion. He seemed to be in such great health and so happy! I was looking forward to visiting with him again soon ...
