Not sure what to say?

I went to school at SUNY Cortland from the fall of 2003 to the Spring of 2007. During that time, I would attend mass at St. Mary's on Sundays. It was Rev. Msgr.'s words that always left you thinking throughout the day. He preached the ideas of kindness, acceptance, and devotion to the Lord. He will be deeply missed.

My deepest sympathy to you & your family. I was very saddened & shocked at his passing. I had the honor to get to know know him while at St Lucys. He was one who left a mark on this earth as anyone who ever had any contact with him will affirm. I was very blessed to know him & pray he will continue to watch over us

Fr. Mike was responsible for some of the most beautiful liturgies I remember from my childhood at St. Cecilia's. I was glad to be his altar server so many times. I can still remember the touching way that he would sing these words at funerals, and I call them to mind now: "May the angels lead you into paradise, may the martyrs come to welcome you and take you to the holy city...and where Lazarus is poor no longer, may you have eternal rest."

Sadness fills the earth as God's angel returns home. We love you Father Mike and know that you are dancing on the streets of gold and in the loving arms of our Savior. When you married us in 1989, you became more than a priest; you become our friend. You taught us so much about love and serving God. May God bring the peace that passes human understanding to your family. To all those who love you; we were changed for the better. Until we meet again; a step behind you in eternity.

I was very saddened when I heard about Father Mike's death. He was such an inspiration to me and my family while he was with us at St. Cecilia's. I'll never forget the sermon where he recreated the gospel of The Prodigal Son using a modern day teenager as the protagonist and included a lot of local references, like Camillus Mall, to make it real. It spoke directly to the youth of the parish as well as to all the rest of us. He was a regular guy...that made him VERY special.

Mary Jo,
I was saddened to hear of Michael's passing. I attended St. Paul's School with him in Binghamton, NY. He was always smiling and a good friend to have. My prayers are with you and your family.

To the Minehan Family:

I am so sorry for your loss. I have only known Msgr. Minehan for a short time, but he always left you thinking and often laughing. When I think of him , I see him standing under a large green and white umbrella, outside of church, saying it's only holy water.

MAY HE REST IN PEACE!

Mary Jo and family,

We are so very saddened by your loss. Although Monsignor was only at St. Mary's for a couple of years, he was deeply beloved. Everyone spoke highly of Monsignor. Having only known and appreciated him for a couple of years, I can only imagine your grief. He was truly an amazing man!! May God ease your pain and accept Monsignor Mike's soul in his heavenly splendor.

MaryJo and Family,
My deepest sympathy to you and your family. You are in my thoughts and prayers. May you find peace in your heart.
