Not sure what to say?

Dear Mooney Family,
We are so very sorry for your loss. Mike was a friend and neighbor, who was always willing to lend a helping hand. I can recall a time when a group of neighbors were struggling to move a heavy object. Mike asked if he could help. I’ll never forget the look on each person’s face as Mike effortlessly used one hand to help us out! We joked that it was nice to have “Bam Bam” living near by.
He was a man of great pride and honor for his family. May God bless all of...

I have fond memories of talking with Mike at Carmel basketball and baseball games as our sons were on the court or on the mound. I would also see Mike at Notre Dame game when I would come to see can to see Matt play. He was a proud father, a wonderful husband, and just a great guy. He will be missed by the Carmel family. God Bless you, Mike!

Condolences to Mike's family. I knew Mike in high school at Saint Viator and always found Mike to be a dedicated student, a solid athlete and a respectful member of the Saint Viator community. Very sorry to hear about this loss.

I'm writing this for one of my closest friends Brian Tchon. He and Michael were the closest of friends and had many many memories together. He will always be remembered as a awesome father and friend ❤. God bless his soul. I was just a friend and he was always cool. I hope all you guys are ok. Again this is from Brian Tchon. He loves all of you. He was a great man and Dad.

Mike Mooney will always be remembered as a great father and great friend. He loved his kids more than anything and could be found coaching at least one of them in basketball over the years. I never could understand how he found the time to work a demanding job all day and still be home in time for after school practices. Even when he wasn't coaching he would ring up my husband Joe and they would take the kids to the gym to shoot. Our family has been enjoying basketball with the Mooney's for...

What a terrific guy and a terrific family. God love you and bless you all and watch over you. As I said to you Mooney kids privately, your dad was so absolutely proud of you and gushed with pride as he would tell me about all your accomplishments in sports and school. He truly loved you all. It was my honor to know him and call him friend. We will miss you Coach Mooney.
