I loved reading Michael's Facebook posts about his family, traveling adventures and his humorous comments; I will miss them. Barbara, Karon, Paula and Michael's beautiful family, please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Michael had such a winning smile and that is how I will remember him.    --Elyria

I am so saddened to learn of Michael's passing. In the mid '90's, Michael became a great friend of mine and a strong supporter of the work we were doing for Mid City Redevelopment Alliance. He was the ultimate "community policeman" in our Mid City neighborhoods. He gained everyone's trust and respect. He joined us at a national meeting and was able to bring his "best practices" to community leaders from other states. Mike will be very much missed by many, and especially by me. Boo Thomas

Mr. Michael was the epitome of a gentleman in every sense of the word, it has been my privilege to be his Fleet Manager at Big M Transportation, Michael was not only a driver, he was my friend, we talked most everyday, my prayers and condolences during the days and weeks to come.
