Michael Morrison

I attended Mike Morrison's funeral on 8 August 2016. Bernard Gorup, his old boss, gave us a great eulogy about Mike. I would like to offer these words as my eulogy.

Just saw that Mike passed away and just wanted to pass along my condolences and sympathy to you all. The last time I saw him was at his house on Shirley St. in Omaha with you '41? I remember many times as Police Chief working with the Rescue Squad and Mike almost always on the squad.

Mike was always friendly to me, even though I am an engineer and land surveyor. He was a genuine, and generous, person. I hadn't seen him since I retired, and was shocked to see the obituary. He was a good guy. Do you want memorials to the church and/or any other local organization?

Eternal rest grant unto Mike, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May the souls of the faithful departed, though the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen

"Uncle Mike" was a great guy who showed me great friendship and welcomed me into the family. We spent many a great time at Husker games and family get togethers. I truly will miss him.
