Virginia & Dick Petrie.

Jean, so sorry to hear about Michael. My prayers are with you and your family.

Dear Jeanne I remember first meeting you at the Waterville Library and then Mike when you first moved to Waterville Valley. Mike was a really nice guy and I enjoyed chatting with him around town or at the ski area. He truly was a loyal Notre Dame alumni and I often saw him wearing his Notre Dame sweater. I was amazed when he went back to Notre Dame for a year to just take classes that he found interesting. His loyalty to his Red Jeep was classic. He maintained that Jeep with loving care and...

For our 3 years of law school at Georgetown, Mike and Charlie Doyle and I, and various 4th guys, shared a townhouse on East Capitol Street in D.C. - $185 rent a month. Split 4 ways - try doing that today. We played a lot of law school football together and senior year we made it, undefeated, to the SuperBowl. The results of said game need not be mentioned here. Mike was a good athlete - a thoughtful guy, interested in many different subjects. He dove deep into writing a report about RFK, Jr. ...

Jeanne and Family. So very sorry on the loss of Mike. He was such a kind person and so easy to have a conversation with anytime. Take care and your memories will last forever.

I got to know Mike when I interned with him and his senate judiciary subcommittee in the summer of 1971. Since that time, I was able to follow his career as he lawyered in Bismarck for many years. Mike and his wife, Jeanie, were always a model of friendship and public service. I will remember Mike as having a brilliant legal mind that propelled him to great success. Condolences to his wonderful family!

I´m very sad to learn of Mike´s passing. I learned so much from him and so enjoyed working with him on the North Dakota Health Task Force. A total gem. Deep condolences to you, Jeanie, and the family.

We only started a friendship and dialogue when Mike returned to ND for advanced studies at an age most classmates would never consider returning to their University for studies, including myself. Mike was a true inspiration.
