Dr. Michael Ross Murphy

I deeply regret the decease of Dr. Michael R. Murphy, a great scientist and leader in the field of bioelectromagnetics. Dr. Murphy visited my laboratory at the Graduate School of Medicine, the University of Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan, on November 4, 1998. Dr. Murphy gave an informative lecture on Overview of how US DOD deals with RFR health and safety (Research/Standard Setting). ,Mike was a very good, loyal friend and colleague who was always supportive of me and my work no matter how controversial. However, he never let me get away with anything but provided his criticism with his unique sense of humor which took away the sting. He will be deeply missed by me and I am sure many others around the world.

Janet, Thank you for sharing Michael with us. Even if it was a short time. Tony and I enjoyed his fabulous company and his many talents. He taught us so very much. Prayers for you and your children and grand children. Much to you all, Tony and Raquel Flores

Condolences to the family. He was an astute researcher and a fine person. He liked a book on hamsters I gave him one Christmas as it was out of print. He showed my kids around his hi tech lab which opened their eyes to science. He made his own pickles. He added a lot of fun to this world.
