Michael A. Near

Michael and I were good friends in our younger years. We didn't see each other for a long time after high school, until I moved back to the area several years later. We always played cards or board games one night a week, and usually Ocean Beach on summer weekends. Much of the time we were playing with our cars at my parents home. He was a great guy. I am very saddened to hear the news

There's not enough space to share all the things we will miss(already are) about Mike. He was a kind, thoughtful, man, neighbor, friend, and buddy(especially to Dave) over the years. Dave enjoyed morning coffee w/him and the guys at DD, where they solved all the world problems! Dave enjoyed trips to the casino with Mike, never winning much(if anything) and playing Pitch on our deck. Even laughing at some of Mike's notoriously bad jokes! So a good man, dad, grand dad & gg dad is at rest...

I worked with Michael at rocky's, he was a great person always with a joke to tell and always said he had a million of them. I had a good time working with him. Sorry for your loss
