Michael S. Nemitz, age 59, of St. John, IN formerly of Homewood, passed away at his residence with his girls; Pretty Mary, Tracy and Tina, by his side. Mike worked for over 33 years for the town he loved, the Village of Homewood. Then joining Robinson Engineering in 2002. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Kovacs); loving father of Tracy (Lance) Robinson and Tina (Christopher) Mou; dear brother of Viola (Don) Morgan, Helen (Gerald) Johnson, Sylvia Nemitz, George (Lisa), Bernadette (Dale) Jones, Thomas, Steve (Janet), Gregory (Nancy Penguin) and the late Frank Jr. (Pat), Delbert (Mary), Frances (Jack) Cothern and Patricia (Chuck) Wills; dear uncle, nephew and cousin to many. Visitation Tuesday, January 26, 2:00-8:00pm at the Ryan Funeral Home 18022 Dixie Highway in Homewood. Funeral Wednesday 9:30am prayers at the funeral home to St. Joseph Church Mass 10:00am. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Cancer Support Center, 2028 Elm Road, Homewood. Funeral information 708-798-0331.

To the entire Nemitz family,
I offer my deepest condolences on the loss of Mike. He was a great person to work with and a great resource for use. He will be missed by all. I am truly sorry that I could not attend the wake or service as I would have liked to. My prayers and support to all of you in this difficult time.
