Sherry Lynn Smigowski, age 88 of Comins, Michigan, passed away at her home on Wednesday, July 30, 2025.
Sherry was born in Alpena, Michigan on November 18, 1936 to Chauncey and Gertrude (Fonzlow) Himes. She married Edward Smigowski in 1958 and the couple settled in Comins following Edward’s retirement. Sherry often tended bar for the Comins Eagles Club.
Sherry is survived by her daughter Cindy Bills of Mio, MI; her sister Mariette Gomez of New York; Her grandson James T. Bills of Lapeer, MI; and her great-granddaughter Alexia L. Bills of Howell, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edward E. Smigowski, and her son Kyle A. Smigowski.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Gathering and interment of ashes at Clinton Township Cemetery in Comins, Michigan will be announced at a later date.

She always had a story to tell me. She was so proud of her sister in New York. She also did sooo much for the Eagles from decorating for every Holiday to making sure member birthdays were listed. She will truly be missed!♥
