Michael was my friend for 45 years. He was a brilliant, beautiful, kind man, full of excitement, vigor and fire! He was a hero of mine, always empathetic to others, always doing something to add to the world's knowledge. Very sad news indeed. I fondly remember the good times we had playing soccer together. Also, he was truly dedicated to basic science in a way that elevated him in my opinion above essentially everyone else at Los Alamos. My sincere condolences. Johannes Mondt.
