Michael was born on September 26, 1942 and passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2016. Michael was a resident of Cumberland, Maryland at the time of his passing. He was formerly from Piedmont, West Virginia. Mike was a 1961 graduate of St. Peters School Westernport. He was married to Rebecca. Friends and family will be received at the Boal Funeral Home Westernport on Sunday September 4th 2016 from 12 pm to 2 pm. A funeral service will be conducted following the visitation in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm with the Rev. Thomas Forbes officiating. Interment will be at a later date in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap Flintstone. In lieu of flowers memorial continuations may be directed to a church or charity of your choice.

I want to remember Mike as we were when we were 5 or 6 years old. I had a birthday party and Mike and all my classmates were invited, My Mother had just gotten all the cake and ice cream served when we heard a loud noise outside. All the kids ran out to the front yard to see the car crash, but Mike and I. We stayed behind to eat all the cake. We both loved cake.
I know you are enjoying your heavenly cake right now Mike. Heaven is a more joyful place today.
