I came to Korea in 1979 as a new CW2 from an environment that was very unaccepting of the newly integrated female aviator. Mike Jr. treated me with great kindness. I am certain I would not have survived without his encouragement. I am forever grateful to Mike for helping me through that period in my life.
My deepest condolences to his loving family. I am deeply sorry for your loss.

CW5(R) Mary F. Smalley

I served with Mike in Korea in 1975. I was an OH 58 crew chief. Mike and I flew all over Korea together, taught me alot about flying. Through out the years we stayed in contact with each other and I will deeply miss the conversations we had. He is a gentleman and a true American hero. He and his Dad are back flying together, this time with angle wings. Rest in Peace my friend.

To the dears family,
As we take this moment to express our deepest condolences for an American hero, I can only say a job well done. Rest in peace my military brother.

Please accept my deepest sympathies.

Please accept my deepest sympathies. I feel honored to have flown with both Mike Sr. and Mike Jr. Mike Jr. was instrumental in helping me get my VA disability for which I will be ever grateful.

I am deeply saddened at Mr. Novosel's passing. I was a medic with DMZ Dustoff and his legacy was forfilled everyday, every mission....."So Others May Live"....I pray everyday for him and others who performed their duty with unselfish bravery. May God Bless him forever. Sir, You are my Hero and Mentor. Wayne E. Gordon (Doc Gordie 216), DMZ Dustoff 1970-71

I flew only a few missions as crewchief with his dad and never with him, but met both later in life. The world is a lesser place without them. There are many vets on this planet today that would not have been without the two of them. Thank you for the privledge of knowing you.

Margaret, I was deeply saddened to hear of Mike's passing. What a blessing and honor it has been to know all of you. May your love of GOD and the love of friends and family carry you through this difficult time. May GOD also fill your hearts and minds with peace in knowing Mike is with his fathers and smiling on us all.
