Not sure what to say?

Expressing appreciation for the US Air Force Service of Capt Michael Nugent for our country. Prayers are going up to heaven for comfort for his family and many friends in their loss. May he rest in the promised paradise of His Lord and Savior in this his new heavenly deployment. D huffman, Army vet (capt) and Dallas Honor Guard member.

I always enjoyed seeing Mike at the Downtown Y during the lunch hour, he was all smiles and laughter, full of good cheer. I never worked with Mike, but from those who did, I learned Mike was a man of integrity and honesty. I consider it a blessing to have known Mike, he was always a good friend. God Bless, Terry Smith

Mike was a high school classmate and long time friend. We went through army basic training at Ft. Knox and medic training at Ft. Sa Houston together. He had a great sense of humor and was a very kind man. He will be remembered forever by those of us who knew him and loved him.

Everything said here I agree 10 times over. Describing Nugget, his humor, his kindness and fun ways, I don’t have the words to do him justice. I’ve known Mike for over 60 years and he always knew how to “make my day”. We first heard rumors at Regina high school about this all-star basketball player transferring in from some big California school. He was rumored to be a quick 6’9 shooter/rebounder. Well, he was even better, as a teammate. Better than a 6-9 guy and the best friend/teammate you...

I always said anyone diagnosed with clinical depression should be required to spend at least one hour with Michael as part of their therapy. His quick wit and story telling ability were second to none. He was one of those people you just loved being around because you were going to laugh, and laugh hard within just a few minutes. A consummate family man and a good friend. I find myself sitting here, wishing I had made more time for him. Rest in peace Michael. Enjoy your heavenly...

The spitting image of his father in many ways. His obituary says it all. A good, loving and principled man.

My Condolences to Barb, brother Tom and entire family. I met Mike while I was employed at Cooper Clinic and was using the workout facilities. He was the best Welcome Wagon Greeter when he heard there was a new IOWAN in the city.
Mike and Barb made sure I joined the Hawkeye Metroplex Alumni group. We had many fun times, put put golf( very much competitive.) softball ball games and watching Hawkeye Games. Football- renting dance clubs with TVs Galore and the tailgate including the Ia...

Mike Nugent welcomed me like family. He was one of the founders of the Dallas/Ft Worth Iowa Club, then known as the "Metroplex Hawkeye Club". Before cable football games, we would tailgate and listen to one of the local radio stations they arranged to broadcast the local Iowa radio broadcast of The University of Iowa Hawkeye football games. Mike was family and welcomed everyone that way to Dallas. "Once A Hawkeye...." Love to all the Nugent family. Thank you for sharing him with us. ...
