Michael Stephen O'Brien

Mike was the engenderer of a lot of laughs at Ken's Steak House in Framingham, Mass., where we both worked. Later on, I loved getting his annual Christmas card, complete with an O'Brienish sarcastic remark. He may be the last person in the world who knew that Saint Dismas was the patron saint of busboys. Rest in Peace.

In early 2015, in a wheelchair, I became Michael’s tenant, moving into the house his mom had lived in. Michael was so kind to me - accommodating my special needs both physically and financially. Soon I learned that being Brad Pitts’ doppelgänger had its drawbacks as he hesitated to enter my house when I was alone (although he used his looks as an excuse, I know he was being the gentleman he always was). Michael and I were best friends for 18 years. We laughed together and cried together. He was truly a wonderful man and I miss him terribly! Hope you are still telling jokes up in Heaven!
