Not sure what to say?

It's been 3 years and I am just learning of your passing. To mikes family I lived near the spot for 5 years. Every time we stopped by we were guaranteed a hand shake, jokes and his infectious smile along with the famous bow tie. So many times we have meant to stop by to say hello and I'm sad we didn't. Mike O'Toole you were one of a kind you'll be missed but not forgotten.

Michael, A whole year has gone by without you. You will be forever missed. Your memory will live on in my heart and for all who knew and loved you so.

I just learned today, May 14, that Michael O'Toole passed away last October. His Father and my Father were good friends and I knew him when I was growing up. I saw him again in 2011. I spoke to him after I learned that his parents had passed away. I had looked forward to seeing him again but at last, it will not happen.

Rest in peace. I hope to see you in Heaven one day.

My sincere condolences. I just learned today that Mike had passed away. What a sad shock. I still have the refrigerator in my basement bar Mike gave me over 20 years ago! What a generous and kind soul. Sorry for your loss.

"When a man dies, a library burns!" I am stunned to hear the news. You should have lived to be 100, Sir!

Meredith and Emilie,
I am so sorry for your loss.I just found out last night.I'll remember Mike for smile and hug and conspiratorial wink.'Twas a fun 30 + years.
RIP,Mike.

I just read all of the entries and what else can we say? All so true of a wonderful man. We always enjoyed his hospitality! Our thoughts and prayers are with Mike's family. We will miss him.

Michael, You will truly be missed. You always had a smile and a positive greeting for everyone. I am very thankful to have known you from the years you sponsored our softball team the "Regulars" and will never forget the many fun nights at the Spot and your hospitality. Rest in Peace my friend.

Here's to Mike:

The Spot has been a haven for over 25 years and Mikey made it so; a place to meet with friends, talk smart and catch up.

For me, Mike always had a smile, a joke, and a baseball question. He knew a LOT about baseball and was certain of so many things--as so many of us are.

In Michael, I found a kindred spirit who had spring in his step, a smile on his lips and eyes that revealed he was up to something.

Our friendship will always remain.
