Michael Patrick O'Brien

I am so saddened to hear that Michael has passed. We met while playing golf with LA Golf Singles and started dated for awhile. I really enjoyed Michael´s sense of humor and his general goodness. Last time we spoke he was doing well....so sad. My heart is breaking. God bless you, Michael.

Mike and I worked together while he was at Spice Hunter. We became very good friends. He was well like by everyone and always a Stand Up Guy, His passion for life was amazing. He will be missed. Tom Benford

I just heard of Mike's passing and I offer condolences to his extended family. I got to know Mike when I enrolled him in a UHC Medicare Advantage plan and we enjoyed subsequent conversations about life in Chicagoland where we lived before SoCal. Requiescat in pace.

I worked with Mike for a number of years. He really knew his stuff and boy was he funny. We last spoke on the phone in late February. He sounded great, and as always he wanted to hear all about what was going on with my kids. He really took a genuine interest and I always appreciated that about him.

I will really miss Mike. We started as work buddies in LOS ANGELES over 30 years ago. Then, we became golf buddies, frequently spending weekends in Palm Springs before I got married. Finally, after Mike stopped playing golf, we often attended sporting events and local theatre. When we got together after an extended period of time, we picked up as if no time had passed at all. Mike and I grew up together in Wilmette, lived about a block away from each other, and attended both St. Francis Xavier grammar school and Loyola Academy together. I remember Michael fondly. At St. Francis, he was my altar boy partner for two years and I served my first Mass with him. He was funny, almost always in a good mood, and kind and thoughtful to everyone around him. I liked him immensely as did most people who knew him. He will be missed.

My sincere condolences to Michael's family. I worked with Mike when ConAgra bought Knott's Berry Farm Foods. He was a joy to work with; alway polite (maybe a little irreverent) and funny with a wicked dry sense of humor. I'm sorry I didn't keep in touch more, but we connected occasionally through LinkedIn and Facebook. May he rest in peace.
