Not sure what to say?

I learned much from this man as he walked and taught my class weekly at St. Mel. Rest In Peace.

I learned much from this man as he walked and taught my class weekly at St. Mel. Rest In Peace.

Msgr. O'Connor was a wonderful man. I have alot of fond memories of Msgr. walking around the playground smoking his cigar and playing with all of us. My family is one of the first families of St. Mel. I also remember him saying to us all of the time..."The name of the school is St. Mel...Not St. Mel's...he does not own it." I will miss him alot and but am so grateful and blessed to have known him.

Your guidence and spritial leadership will truly be missed by many. You have made a once small church into a vast home of worship and fellowship to which no other can follow. You will be missed very much, but we know that God now cares for you and gives you grace and etenally peace for which you so deserve. Until we meet again..

Msgr, you have done so many wonderful things for our family, I say this with tears in my eyes, my dear friend. May you sleep with the angels.

We are so grateful for all you have given our family and the St. Mel Parish family. May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Monsignor O'Connor has a very special place in my heart. As a member of one of the founding families (Guziel), I was lucky to be a part of his developing St. Mel's into the great parish it became. I have many wonderful memories of fiestas, ice cream socials and Monsigor walking around the playground smoking a cigar and kicking the playground balls so high in the air. May he rest in peace.

We were there in 1956 and left in 1989. There are too many wonderful memories...our four children attended school at St. Mels and I(Gloria)taught at the school for several years. Msgr. O'Connor has been a part of our family for many years and our hope is to be with him in heaven.

Msgr. O'Connor was a spiritual leader to three generations of my family. I will fondly remember him grabbing my pig-tails while I was a St. Mel Student. I will always remember the sound of his voice as he bagan each 11:00 Sunday mass.
