Father Michael R. O'Hara O.M.I.

Fr. Michael and I were colleagues as correctional chaplains. He was liked and respected by both staff and inmates. He had an inner strength and peacefulness.

I was a correction officer in New York and in yearly training he always started off with a story that was an attention getter. Four months ago I emailed him and he emailed me back and I am glad I had that last contact with him. He was a great person to know.

Fathers O´Hara you were a wonderful man and an incredible individual. I remember in 2006 of February father O´Hara was there for me and my family when our house collapsed in Brooklyn, New York And we lost everything that we owned. He showed up to the hotel with breakfast lunch or whatever we needed. He did not know anyone in my family. We were coworkers at the Metropolitan correctional center and he was also my next neighbor at Dayton Manor And I didn´t figure that out until one day we both...

Though you are no longer with us, your memories will live on in my heart. I am grateful for the time we shared and the impact they had on my life. Thank you for being a great friend and listener. You made going into work easier. I will never forget you Father O'Hara my friend. Always Regina!
