Michael R. "Mike" Ogles

My love and heartfelt sympathy to each of you in the loss of Mike. He was a wonderful young man that I remember well from attending church together in Decatur. Our families shared some fun times with Andy Griffith parties, church dinners and basketball games through Decatur Parks and Recreation. I work for NASA now and Mike was extremely helpful in helping us get the Mars Ascent Vehicle Project stood up at MSFC. Loved his personality and he facilitated our meetings with lots of humor and interesting facts. We will miss him. The entire NASA family offers our condolences.

Dr. Ogles recently collaborated with me on a grant to help bring Additive Manufacturing training to the youth of rural Alabama. He was committed to sharing his talent and agency with the least among us. I am grateful for what he taught me and will continue to try to help make this "small part" of just one of his dreams come true. What a great man.
