Not sure what to say?

I just learned within the past few days of Mike’s passing in June. Although I regularly read the obituaries, I missed it and would have been at his funeral if I had known. I tried two jury trials against Mike over the years and came to know him fairly well. I recommended him for ABOTA membership, and co-counseled a case with him just last year.

Mike was a fine lawyer. He had a keen intellect and a passion for people. I will miss him.

My deepest condolences to the family. I worked for Michael (and Calvin) at Capretz & Kasdan. Mike was a great guy and will truly be missed.

Dear Vicki,
Jan & I are so sorry for your unexpected loss. There are no words that can take away the hurt. The old cliche "time heals all wounds", although true, has little meaning at a time like this. Only your deep love, devotion and memories of times spent together can sustain you. Mike and I were just getting to know each other on a more personal level as we both have an interest in hats.
Our deepest condolences are extended to you and if there is anything we can do please let...

Mark Twain said “The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.” This epitomized Mike. I have known him for close to forty years. As often happens we lost touch, leading our separate lives. We would catch up with him periodically to see where our paths had taken us. Over the last few years we would connect by email or meet for lunch and renew our friendship. As we grow older our memories may fade, but I can still remember and reminisce...

Please accept my deepest sympathies.

I met MIke through my good friends Steve Bradley and Gary Lawton in the early 70's when they worked at Farrell's Ice Cream Parlor in Downey. We became really good friends in those days and shared many great times. Who could ever forget "the wapatula parties" before the U.S.C. vs. Notre Dame football games, or the classic game that we attended at The Coliseum in 1974, sitting in the Notre Dame section. I shared Yosemite backpacking, a trip to Zion National Park, and a month long trip...

Vicki,
So sorry for your loss. We have enjoyed knowing you two and know this will create a huge hole in your life. Mike's sense of humor and faith were admirable. We enjoyed hearing him preach the Word. He was very inspirational. You are in our prayers and in our hearts.
Love you, Sandra and Richard Archer

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

I served as a jurorist on one of Michael's cases and thought he was very thorough in representing his client whose case was won. He will be sorely missed in the legal arena!

May God bring you peace.

Rest well, Michael, my young and beloved brother. Your presence is sorely missed and, for me, will continue to be missed the rest of my life. I particularly cherish memories of our youth when I had the pleasure of caring for you when you were an infant. Later, I remember your quick learning when I taught you the rudiments of reading and writing before you ever went to school. As you grew I had the pleasure of often being your prime caretaker, teaching you all the stuff I, as an older...
