Michael Palko Obituary
Michael C. Palko, age 81, went home to be with the Lord on February 8, 2017.
Loving husband to Gloria for 53 years, he was the beloved father to Bridget (Roger) Dunbar II, Kimberly (Thomas) Zawisza, Sean (Jacqueline), and Michael A. (Connie); grandfather of 22 and great-grandfather of 21.5
Michael was a U.S. Army Veteran and retired teacher from St. Vincent - St. Mary High School.
Family will receive friends on Friday, February 17th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Catavolos Funeral Home, 3653 W. Market St., Fairlawn, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, February 18th at 10:30 a.m. in St Sebastian Church, 476 Mull Ave., Akron, Ohio. Entombment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Gloria, I am sorry for your loss. I am so glad Charlene and I got to visit with Michael and you a few years ago and get reacquainted after so many decades absence. The brief visit was a blessing for me and I believe, judging from his reaction, that it also was for Michael. I changed one of my computer passwords to PALKO to remember Michael.

Our deepest condolences to the whole Palko family we found out to late to attend Mr Palko's calling hours or funeral so our thoughts and prayers for comfort and peace go out to each and everyone of you. My condolences to Mrs. Gloria Palko and all of the Palko family. Mr. Palko was my Biology teacher, and also one of my favorite teachers at St. V-M. He was intelligent, competent, funny, kind, and caring. My life was made better by his dedication to teaching. Well done, Michael, rest in peace.

It was my honor to know him! He was such a great biology teacher and was really one of my favorite teachers. I enjoyed going to the Ohio State Fair with him too!. He was such a kind person and always tried to smile.
