Not sure what to say?

We are in St. Barth's where we first came with you and Michael in 1995. I looked up Michael since we'd been out of touch and I was saddened to learn of his death, almost seven years ago. What an amazing legacy, Judy! Please accept our pronouns gratitude for not only Michael's major personality and generousity but for your grace and love too.

It's been three years plus since his passing, and I am only now finding this sad information online. I was lucky to work with Dr. Papo at the Chelsea Clinic back in the early 70's as his nurse. He was a wonderful doctor and an excellent teacher. Every day at work was a new experience. From ship to shore telephone calls, to fielding numerous requests at once, he definitely kept me running. His patients loved him, and he was a charming individual. He did so much for the little village of...

To Judy and the entire Papo family. I only now discovered the news of Dr.Papo's passing, one which I have no doubt has touched so many, as he touched so many, many lives. I send my deepest belated condolences to you all and rejoice in the fond memories you have of such a special man, husband, father, friend, tutor and visionary. I was a crew member aboard Celestial in 1989. Meeting Dr.Papo and having had this opportunity to be a part of his sailing passion, to this day and always will be an...

Michael and myself shared the same destiny in the concentration camp in Italy in 1943.I was 6 months old and just recently learned we were amongst the few survivors.I regret we could not meet since.I feel close to the family.

Dear Michele,René,Judy and family.

Receive my deepest sympathy for your loss.
I am sure any person who met Michael agrees that he was a noteworthing man.He was so genuine, generous, humanitarian, very simple and a happy intelligent man who lived for celebrating life, love and people.I feel very proud of having the opportunity to meet him because he was and will always be a model to follow as my second father. Rosita, from Mexico.

What a wonderful man Mike was. I first met him when I was a medical student so very long ago. He was a visionary doctor. My husband and I became friends with him. He was a wonderful friend, full of warmth, charm, energy, joie de vivre, wide-ranging interests. We lost track of him through the years. When we read of his death, it brought back very pleasurable and vivid memories of him. When the acute sadness passes, may your memories of Mike give you much pleasure and inspiration.

I remember Dr. Papo from a very long time ago. I recall, as a 16 year old going to the Chelsea Clinic (as it was called back in the 70's) for an office visit and diagnosis. I don't know what it was about him, but I have never forgotten him. I think it was his concern and respect he had for me, a young lady, who was very nervous at seeing a "new" doctor. I have never forgotten him. I send my deepest sympathy to his family.

I had the pleasure to work with Dr. Papo at the Chelsea Medical Center in the 70's.
What a great man.
