Dawna and I are at a loss for words. We can only grasp the great memories of Lubbock and your friendship. J Carol, I was shocked and in disbelief of Mike's passing! He will be greatly missed in our circle of friends in Austin every May! My prayers go out to you and your family!!

I am so going to miss seeing Mike (and you Carol) every year at the State Track Meet. I will raise a glass each year in tribute to our departed friend.

J Carol, A picture we took of Mike and the Angelo State guys at the State Meet popped up on my Facebook page and I got to thinking about how Mike was doing and tried to google an email address on him or something. I'm shocked and deeply saddened for you loss. We all think the world of Mike for his friendship, quick wit, hearty laugh, great smile and love for his family. Mike and I were the best of friends growing up together. His numerus talents included making those around him better.
He was the greatest competitor I have ever known. It was a gift to have known him.
