Chambers Funeral Homes - Cleveland Obituary

MICHAEL PATRICK LACHENDRO, age 33, beloved son of Debbie (nee Smith) and Mark Sr. (Christine, deceased); loving brother of Mark Jr. (deceased) and Jenn Johnson (Erik); grandson of Susan Lachendro (nee Kisvardi) and Carl Lachendro (deceased) and the late Donna Cordery (nee Anderson) (Ted); nephew of John Lachendro (Lisa), Jim Lachendro, Betty Johnson (Tom), Linda Rath (Eric), Dana Steimle (Dan), Holly Kish (Lou), Ted Cordery and Tammy Nuti; beloved cousin and dear friend of many.  Passed away unexpectedly February 2, 2025.  Funeral Mass Saturday, February 8, St. Vincent DePaul Church (13400 Lorain Ave.) at 10 A.M.  Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of CLEVELAND, 4420 ROCKY RIVER DR. AT PURITAS, FRIDAY 4-8 P.M.

Michael was an avid hunter and trapper. He was a proud member of the Ohio State Trappers Association and even attended trapper’s college. His love of nature was known to everyone who loved him. His love of hot wings and Coke Zero was also known to many. He thoroughly enjoyed his job at Cottom’s Wildlife Rescue and all of the friends he made there. He spent countless days at Jean and Greg’s farm, his happy place. He loved going on hunting trips with his dad, uncles, and friends. He enjoyed spending time with his dogs, Grandpa and Squirrel. Michael was consistently the funniest person in the room, always making people laugh with his quick wit and hilarious one liners. He was such a big, warm presence. He was an incredible son and protective, loving brother. He could always be counted on to cheer you up on the hardest of days. He was truly a one of a kind.

We are saddened by the sudden passing of Michael and want to honor him by planting trees in his name. We know how much he loved nature. God bless the Lachendro family. Love, the Burgess', Roger, Laura, Julie, Pete, Becky, John and family.

Sending condolences to the family and may God Bless all of you. Mike was so great to work with and he always made sure everyone was altogether, even from his first days of work here at Cottom's Wildife Removal, and he only kept getting better. A joy and a good friend.

Michael went to school with my son and spend a ton of time at my house. I loved him dearly and though I have not seen him in several years, he will always have a special place in my heart. My heart is broken and my thoughts are with his family and friends.

We've never met, but you raised a fantastic, downright hilarious guy who made an impact on me that'll last the rest of my life. We worked together for several years in high school and hit it off immediately. He'd already been there a few months when I got hired and he was the first one to welcome me with a flurry of jokes when I showed up. I didn't know anyone and had never had a job before but Mike made me feel like we'd been friends for years in a matter of seconds. From there the...

Im so sorry to hear about Mike, or as we referred to him - lachendro. I worked with him. Any time I’d see him in the office he was happy and upbeat. He was kind. He brought a positivity to the room. I just wanted his family to know that even from an acquaintance of his - he left a positive mark on me and those around him

Debbie and family sending healing prayers and comforting hugs. Our family is keeping your family in our thoughts and prayers I am so sorry for your loss.
