You were "like a breath of fresh air." I am deeply saddened by this news, and you will certainly be missed here on The Hill. Your untimely passing effects us all, it was an honor to know you. Peaceful blessings to you, and also to those you knew and loved. Godspeed, my friend.

To the Paul Family-
We had the privilege of knowing Mike for a few months when we moved and he became our mail carrier. He was just such a great guy. He was kind, friendly, witty, and generous. I always enjoyed talking to him and he will be terribly missed.
We are very sorry for your loss. You have been in our thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely,
The Swank Family

They sang How Great Thou Art when he came down the block with their mail. They held umbrellas for him when it was raining. They cursed his successors when he left a route because he set the bar so high. It was men like him that legends were created from. We never saw it coming. He helped everyone, gave to everyone and expected nothing in return. I play back the last few times we spoke over and over. A tragic ending, a heartbreaking loss and no closure. 'Carry On My Wayward Son'.

To my special friend Mike. We first met at the bank when you came to work with me. The bond between us grew from that day on. I knew you were special from that moment. Bryan Adams concert and many more memories throughout the years. Seeing you On your mail route while I would be at my sons. We would talk and how your eyes shined and sparkled when you talked about your daughters.. They were your world as my children are mine. I will miss you Friend! You had so much to give. RIP. We...
