Mike and I lived right down the street from each other and played together in Senior League, American Legion and High School Ball. So many days I would catch his pitches for hours, on the home made mound that Mr Leon Piascik made for him in Mr Testerman's back yard. He dropped some of the funniest malaprops that you ever heard. 54 is way too young. Rest in peace "Cy."

so sorry to hear about Mike. We had so much fun in school. I remember hanging out at the gas station with him and going to see him play ball for Navy. then I met up with him later at the tackle box when my son played football for Wm Penn & he donated ice for the games. What a great guy & great loss. I'm so sorry.

sad to hear of Mike's passing. One of my fondest childhood memories was being on the worst little league team and playing the best little league team at stahl post back in the 70's. Because of Mike and his superb pitching we won that day. I remember on the final out jumping up and down and hugging him with such joy! I will never forget it. Thank you Mike!

I am so very saddened to learn of Mike's death. I was Mike's high school varsity basketball coach at William Penn High School and I have such fond memories and stories of Mike. He was as competitive as any athlete who I ever coached and I vividly remember and can picture the game-winning jumpshot which Mike made against Brandywine HS in overtime to win the game to end Brandywine H.S. state winning streak. I also coached Mike in Legion baseball for Stahl Post and he was a tremendously...

I didn't know you very long Mike, but in the short time I worked with you, I could see you were a warrior! You fought hard and worked harder than the healthiest of us! A true inspiration! I'm glad I had the pleasure of meeting you. May you rest in paradise and may God bless the Piascik family.

Wow, went to High School with Mike, I do remember him from the tackle store also. So sad to see another person I went to HS pass away. Mike was a good guy and yes he was a really good baseball player.
