Memoriam to Honor Colonel Mike Plummer

As we express our deepest sympathy and condolences to the entire Plummer family - his wife Miriam, sons, daughters, and beloved grandchildren, I would like to take a moment and share with you some of the key commemorative times in Mike’s life and celebrate his days on earth that were truly filled with Duty, Honor, Country.

My friend, my “brother,” Colonel Mike Plummer was a soldier’s soldier, a great...

I had the honor and privilege of knowing and working for Colonel Mike Plummer back in the late 1980s when he was the Assistant Division Commander for Support. He was an outstanding leader and was highly respected by everyone who knew him. He was key to the success of the reactivation of the 10th Mountain Division and made the National 10th Mountain Division Association what it is today. He will be missed by all.
God Bless!
Ralph Tuccillo, Col (Ret) USA

Finest of Infantry officers and leaders of soldiers. As Chief of Staff, 82d Ann Div, staff officers learned from him, were mentored by him. He loved his soldiers and officers. I was aide-de-camp to CG when Mike was CofS and I absolutely adored him. Ran the Marine Corps marathon with Mike in 1983. RIP, Mike. You made a difference!

Miriam & family, We all lost a truly great man. Mike left lasting impressions on all that he touched and his legacy will live forever. My condolences and prayers go out to all of you. Mike

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Thank you Mike for everything. For the many many lives you touched, your leadership and guidance provided to the NNY Chapter of AUSA and the North County Community.
My prayers and thoughts to Miriam and family.

My father served in WW2 in the 10 th Mth Div and was active in the veterans group. When Col Plummer got involved Dad was so impressed with his commitment to the organization and to soldiers, both active and veteran. I met Col Plummer many times through the Association of 10 th Mtn. He was such a nice man and genuine with no agenda other then to be of service. This country is honored to have him serve. God bless you Col Plummer. My condolences to his family and friends.

George & Mike at AUSA @ 2001

Our deepest and most sincere condolences to Miriam and the immediate family and to all who knew, respected and loved Mike. He was, at various times, my boss, running partner, stickbuddy, true friend, professional colleague, and AUSA super supporter. During my time as VP of AUSA's First Region, Mike was the single most important representative of Ft Drum and its surrounding community. He was hyper-focused on taking care of soldiers and their families and would go to any lengths to insure...
