Not sure what to say?

I served with Pod in the 3 early 70s when he was an E-7 at Ft. Polk LA. We fished a LOT off duty. He will be missed.

My deepest sympathy goes out to Pod's family. He was a dear friend and former supervisor of my dad as they enjoyed retirement life "working" at the Auto Craft Shop on Ft. Monroe. It was a pleasure to have enjoyed his tasteful cooking, words of wisdom, and sense of humor! (Dennis Wilson's daughter)

We are sorry to hear of this. Pod was a good friend and neighbor when we lived across from him on Second St. Always fun and always willing to lend a hand. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

To Pods Family,
Please accept my sincere condolences for you loss. Pod was truly a very special person and I will miss his smile, sense of humor and kindness.

We served at Fort Monroe with Pod during his tenure as the band Sergeant Major and will always remember his fun loving spirit and high degree of musicianship. MSG (Ret) Don Williams and 1SG (Ret) Cecelia Williams (Beulah, MI)

Pod was my friend and we worked togather at Fort Monroe. Unfortornately, I will not be able to attend the service today. I pray that God will be with his family throughot this time of breavement.

SGM Willard (will) Gatlin

I was saddened to learn of Pod's passing. He was a fine man and a good friend. We shared many good times at the Ft Monroe Auto Craft Shop. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
