I think about him often.
Some days his memory brings a big smile to my face.
Others, tremendous sadness to my heart.
I have difficulty understanding why he was taken so early.
Why little Nathanael will never know his Daddy.

His son how to ride his first bicycle, or to play ball.

It has taken me a long time to get around to doing this. At first, I was too stunned and did not want to believe it to be true. I did not want to say any words of sympathy because it could enforce the fact that one of my best friends was gone. If I didn’t say the words, then maybe it was not true. Unfortunately, that did not change a thing.
