I was so sorry to hear about Mr. Porter's passing. He was my math teacher at Hanahan, and I just loved having him as a teacher. I am severely math challenged, and I know I drove him crazy with my lack of being able to learn all things math, but he was always nice and helpful regardless. My Uncle Mike was an accomplished Teacher, and he always took time for me when I was a little kid. I couldn´t wait to visit my Aunt and Uncle because I knew my Uncle Mike would great me with a new knock knock joke or teach me a new card game. He loved going through encyclopedias with me and explaining science or geography. I could always count on him to work a puzzle with me or practice making origami.
