Dr. Michael I. Pratt

Professor Pratt heavily influenced my first college year this last fall. So sad to hear about his passing. You could always tell he was so passionate about teaching music. He was an excellent teacher and a great guy!

I am in shock from opening my paper this morning and learning of Michael's passing. I knew his mother and father here in Maumee. Inga was like a second mother to me. When Michael was at University of Toledo he composed a work which needed vocals, and I was so honored to be selected to sing one of the parts. He and Linda attended our Maumee Church, and he served as choir director for a few years. While his parents lived he would return to Maumee for visits. I extend my heartfelt sympathy to...

Mr. Pratt was one of my favorite teachers at Onsted High School. I started in band with him as my teacher in the 5th grade. Some of my best memories were the fun times at band camp. When we were in the band room we were more like a big family. He was such a talented man. I can remember babysitting for John and Mr. Pratt would always make me feel at home. My sympathy and prayers to all the family.
