McCann-Healey Funeral Home - Gloucester City Obituary

Of Somers Point, formerly of Bellmawr, NJ. Passed away suddenly on September 9, 2020. Age 58. Born in Woodbury, NJ, he was the son of Edward J. and Jackie Pratt. Michael is survived by his husband, Michael D. Burnett; son, Michael J. Pratt, Jr.; daughter, Katie Pratt; brothers, George Stetser, Edward Pratt (Patti), Ryan Pratt; sisters, Denise Pratt and Kelley Gibbons (Bob); grandchildren; Leilan and Evan. Michael was also predeceased by his brother, John H. Pratt.


Following his high school graduation, Michael proudly served his country in the US Navy, during Desert Storm. He later worked as a waiter for the Empire Diner. Michael was a longtime volunteer fireman with the Verga Fire Company #1 and the Somers Point Fire Department Company #1 & #2.


Funeral services will be celebrated on Monday, September 21st @ 11 am in the McCann- Healey Funeral Home, 851 Monmouth Street, Gloucester City, where family and friends may visit from 9 to 11 am. Burial will follow with military honors in the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, 109 Route 50 South, Mays Landing, NJ.
