Michael Prough Obituary
Michael Prough, 54, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2013. He was born on January 16, 1959 in Huntington, IN to the late Kenneth and Martha (Gressley) Prough. Michael was an entrepreneur and a “jack of all trades”. He was a very active member of South Lake Church of the Nazarene for nearly 20 years. Michael also enjoyed the great outdoors to include golfing and fishing. Surviving are his daughters: Michaela Prough and Kara (Josh) Rees both of Greenfield, IN, and Tania Pembroke of Fort Lauderdale, FL; his son, Juston (Ashley) Miller of Lebanon, IN; and his fiancee of six years, Shea Tatum, of Batesville, AR. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells St., Fort Wayne with visitation two hours prior to service. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Michaela Prough or to Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) in Philadelphia, PA. sloanandsonsfuneralhome.com

Mike was so dedicated, talented and creative in the years that I knew him as a volunteer and then a paid staff member in ministry. I even owe him in part for where I am today. We pray for his family as they grieve and celebrate that he is with the Lord now.

It was great working with Mike on the praise band for the last 10 years. Gonna miss seeing you raising your hands in praise as we practice or played for the church. Your comments always made me feel like I was the the best drummer in the world. Can't wait to praise Him with you again.
