Michael G. Remillard

1951 - 2017

Michael G. Remillard, age 65, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017 after a long illness. He was the husband of Christine C. (Haslam) Remillard to whom he was married 14 years. Born in Northbridge, MA a son of the late Phileas E. and the late Jeanne M. (Brouillard) Remillard he was a longtime resident of Tiverton, RI. A graduate of Northbridge High School he earned his Associate Degree in Secretarial Science from Quinsigamond Community College. He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served from 1974 | 1983. An avid cyclist he competed in the Senior Olympics; having competed twice in the nationals and was awarded the gold medal in 2016. He was a former member of the Baptist Temple and Portuguese-American Baptist Church, both in Fall River. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three brothers, Thomas, David and John Remillard and several nieces and nephews. His Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 16, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter Street, Fall River. Burial will be in Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Tiverton, RI. Visiting hours are Sunday from 3:00 | 6:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited.
