Michael Wayne Rister, 37, of South Webster, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2012, at King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. The Lorain, Ohio native was born January 19, 1975, the son of Jacalyn Pancake Rister of South Webster, Ohio and the late Michael Eugene Rister. He is also survived by his wife, Amanda Miller Rister, whom he married March 16, 2012. Michael was a graduate of Oak Hill High School and attended Ohio University. He was also a supervisor for Tri State Industries for 11 years and was an avid University of Notre Dame and Chicago Cubs fan. He loved being with his family, especially his favorite girls, his mom and his nieces, Tomi and Olivia. He also enjoyed spending time with man's best friends, Tyson and Bella. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by: maternal grandparents: Jack and Lenore Pancake paternal grandparents: Clifford and Irene Rister an uncle: Alan Pancake In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by: sister: Rhonda Rister of South Webster, OH sister and brother-in-law: Beth and Jeff Kelly of Jackson, OH brother and sister-in-law: Phillip and Carey Rister of Columbus, OH 2 special nieces: Tomi Kelly and Olivia Clarkson both of Jackson, OH mother and father-in-law: Mark and Connie Miller of Pedro, OH nephews and niece: Coleton, Liam, and Taylor Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday (May 16, 2012) at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South Seventh Street, Ironton, Ohio with Pastor Bryon Carmon officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Creek Cemetery and visitation will be Tuesday from 6-9 PM at the funeral home.
