The Wynd Mike is on the Far Right

Mike was a hell of a singer and a great guy. I was in a band with him in Vallejo High School called The Wynd. He could do everything from Credence to James Brown and make the girls swoon. I remember him singing Please/Please/Please on his knees in front of everybody at the dance. He will be missed and I am thinking about him on this sunny day.

Mike was my adopted dad. I was with him at passing as were my children whom he loved and adored. We ARE family and everybody knew that. We loved papa Mike and keep him close to our hearts everyday. Having his bibles and notes, being able to hear him sing, and knowing we have his ashes close brings us comfort.

Very sad to hear about Mike's passing. Just learned of it. I was a classmate of Mike at VHS, class of 69. And our link/bond was music. For a small moment in time, Mike, who had some chops, and moves before we even heard of Joe Cocker, the late Mike Johnstone (another classmate and fine bass player), the keyboard genius of one Jim Hollister, and myself banging away on the drums trying to keep a beat, all at the welcoming Hollister Hacienda, would jam away back in 1968-69. Couldn't call us...

To Mike and his Family, I worked with Mike at Chevron and just to let you know he was an Operator that I could trust. He would "tell it like it is" but I knew that he was a man of his word. Sorry for your loss, may the Lord take Mike and make him his son. Thank you Mike for the times we had laughing together and talking smack.

You are in Peace, and with the Love of your family, you will always be remembered

RIP Mike, old time Vallejo classmate.

I am very sorry to hear of Mike's death. I went to school with his brother, Dick, and knew their father, Reb, as well. My sincere condolences to the Roach family for the loss of Mike.
