Swartz Funeral Home - Flint Obituary

ROAT, Michael - Of Flint, age 57, died Sunday, March 8, 2015 at McLaren-Flint.

Funeral service will be held 12 Noon Saturday, March 14, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,

Burial in Flint Memorial Park.

Contributions may be made to the family.

Visitation 5-8pm Friday and 11am Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Michael was born in Flint on June 15, 1957,the son of the late David and Geraldine Roat and was a resident of Flint all of his life. Michael was employed with Lowe?s in Burton for 15 years since its opening.

Surviving are son, Michael (Dustin);

grandsons, Zackory, Joshua, Kaleb and Michael D. II;

brother, Mitch (Jeanette);

nephews, Jeremy and Mark;

many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Micheal Roat such a very great man I had met through his son micheal he was always so kind to me alway so opened arms every time he seen me we would talk and laugh with each other when I was around will truly be missed he was my buddy and I enjoyed just being around him like a dad and a friend all in one I know he was sick and was going through a lot he's in gods hands now no more pain or suffering love ya Mr. Micheal Roat so blessed to have met you and even to have u in my life gone but...

I will miss you dearly my brother, my friend. I will remember your kindness and your laugh. And the phone talks we shared. I miss you & Dad so much.

You will always be Mikey to me, especially on Christmas. Morning when we would hide at Grama Roat's playing with our toys. You were the brave one who would bring me breakfast , always so sensitive. You will be missed by family and friends and we all hope that you Rest in Peace with your Mom and Dad. Love to your family Mike from Barbara, Jim, Aunt Leatha and Uncle Dick (whom I'm sure you will see in heaven). You were loved.
