Michael ROLFE

It has been a real pleasure to know Mike, since we met in 1992, working together at Baragwanath Hospital in Soweto, South Africa. We shared research interests in diabetes in Africa and had a very productive partnership for some years. Mike had also previously worked in Zambia, where his landmark work on diabetic complications earned him a well-deserved MD degree.

But more than that, he was a great colleague, lovely guy and had a tremendous sense of humour. He will be missed, but...
