Read MoreI am saddened to find out Mike had passed away so many years ago. Mike was a member of our Wintering Over group W/O 80. We were the 25th Wintering Over Group and also we were there for the 50th Anniversary of Admiral Byrds Flight over the South Pole. You all knew this, but Mike was incredibly nice to everyone he met. From our Wintering Over (US Navy)group we are very saddened at the loss of our friend. Rest In Peace Mike.

We first met Michael in 1978, while stationed on Midway Island. It was during the Christmas Holidays. He was away from home for the Holidays, and being on an Isolated Island, such as Midway, was not the most appeasing place during the Holidays.
