Not sure what to say?

I am shocked and very sad to learn of Mike's passing, which I only found out about now, as I hardly ever visit Facebook. I knew Mike at Samohi and more recently had followed his work as a filmmaker and film archivist, together with his dear wife, Carol. I send my sincere condolences to Carol. May the love and the light, the energy and the joy, and the many meaningful activities that the two you shared sustain and inspire you always. God bless, Mimi Ash, Jerusalem

Such a talented, very sweet and kind gentle man. I always looked forward screening Michael´s work. You were lucky Carol.

Michael, I think of you often. You've made such an impact on so many people with your humor, kindness, brilliance and charm, that no one that has known you will ever forget you. I know I wont. I think that is the definition of immortality. But your physical presence is still missed terribly. Thinking of you with love.

Simply the best!

Michael was such a nice guy. Loved working with him.

We miss Michael Rose very much. Michael was a very caring a brilliant person. I was glad to call him friend.

I didn't even know Michael for most of my life. However, his compassion and ethics and intelligence came through in what he shared online. Michael was there as a moral compass and sounding board for many - some of whom had none of those left in their in-person circles of friends and family.

The earth was a happier place with Michael in it. He was a shining light and a wealth of knowledge and was my favorite producer to know and work with. I’ll miss him but I have the memories.
Sending love to you Carol.

In 1980, the Divine family, Jimmy, Dana, and Dawn, and the Rose family, Robert and Michael, were united. It was a good fit. Our sense of humor, our shared political views, and our passion for women's rights, racial equality, and the environment were immediately apparent. Then Carol joined this crazy family, and we were complete.

The memories of the laughter, the debates, the craziness, and the love we shared over many years will forever be etched in my heart.
