I have known Mike since the 1950's we both were poly alumni

I was one of his classmates class of 1960 at poly prep and we were good friends both in classes and some the athletic activities

Mike was truly generous and kind to trainees and colleagues. He devoted valuable time to reflect on data and provide incredibly valuable insights to help us. His scholarship was awe inspiring and he was a true 'mensch'! My condolences to his family. All of us in the field will cherish his memory.

Mike was a treasured colleague, one whose enthusiasm for life shone through in his every action. His death is a huge loss for the field. My condolences to Tove and the rest of the family.

Mike was an admired colleague from our early days with BFH as our scientific father.

I always will remember the first day I met him at Poly Prep - we immediately became friends and were all through school we shared a love of music, among other activities
