You were a good dude and helped so many people.

Mike Ruane was a huge influence to me in so many ways. I met him through his daughter Nicoletta when I was just a teenager in Tampa, FL. In the few years that I was aquainted with Mike and his family in my youth, I came to consider him a role model. I looked up to Mike more than I can express here. Mike was kind and funny, and opened his home to me, allowing me to play music in his home studio for hours on end, or to just hang out with him and his family. I met Michael (Mick) 47 years ago as the drummer for the mighty Chicago based rock/pop group Pezband. He was the talented beat behind one of America's finest musical groups. They went on to record three well received records and were greatly admired by their many fans across the US, England and Japan. He had a good soul and a great sense of humor. Although we both resided in the Tampa Bay area of Florida, I knew him in Pennsylvania and New York when I would cross paths with his band... I...

Mike made a tremendous impact in my life. I met him in Chicago in 2013 and since then got a chance to speak a lot with him. He taught me so much about life. I was also fortunate to watch him perform at the Mayne Stage (2014) and one last time at the Wall to Wall Studios (2016). Mike was someone very special...I always felt like he was from another planet. My condolences to all his family and loved ones. Thank you Mike for every lesson. May God bless you my friend.
