Michael Shea Ruffin

Mike was a friend from our Cold Beer Open Myrtle Beach golf tournament, the highlight of the year back in the 70´s and early 80´s. He was always happy, leading the fun and very caring and concerned about anyone who had issues. Catching up with Mike at Sandy Sanders and Walter Long funerals was a real bright spot in otherwise sad days. Now he´s gone and our world is not as happy or caring. My sympathies to his family.

I am sorry to learn of Mike's passing. His family and friends have my sympathy. Mike and I met late in life and enjoyed many many mornings drinking coffee together with several others at Panera on Providence Road. Mike was almost always upbeat, smiling and cordial. I enjoyed his wit, his stories about life, about basketball, and about his business. Covid fractured our morning coffee group, but I was lucky enough to see Mike early in August and talk a bit.
