Michael Sabella

He was one of my favorite high school teachers. I'll always remember his jokes in class. He instilled a love of learning about history.

Just heard about Mr. Sabella, will never forget him the best teacher I ever had at any level. Will never forget his quick wit and kind words a kind man who knew how to everyone engaged.

Michael Sabella was Lyndhurst High School’s greatest asset. He was a man of solid character, keen perception, unmatchable wit, and sharp humor. He was an excellent teacher who superiorly mastered his subject and genuinely cared about his students. He was a gracious and humble gentleman with a unique edge that made him completely indelible. I hold him in the highest regard and always will.

I am so sorry for your loss. Although I haven't heard Mike's "Joisey" accent for many, many years, I will always remember our time together in Yankton as a time of warm friendship and constant humor. It seems so fitting that he chose to be an educator and coach because he always had the capacity to make one feel special.
