Not sure what to say?

Bob and Patrick, Mike was my first real love and I was so saddened to hear of his death..I was in Dallas for my birthday when it happened and just found out yesterday..he helped me move to Dallas many years ago when I needed a friend..even though I had not seen him for many years.I never have forgotten him and never will

Bob, I am very sorry to hear about Mike passing away. He was a great guy, who really made an impression on everyone who came into contact with him. He was certainly one of the most popular students at BAHS.

Mike and Bob Sabolyk Leaving Berlin on the Duty Train the Summer of 1963

What a shock and deep sadness I felt to return from a trip last night and find the news of Mike's death. I have not seen him since he left on the Duty Train from Berlin with his family. I still have the picture I took as we all gathered to say goodbye. I'd cheered for him during football seasons, and enjoyed his spirit and humor when I dated his older brother my senior year. As I close my eyes, I see can picture him, his mom and Dad, Col. Sabolyk, and brother Bob just as they were in...

Dear Bob, how time has passed along w/ the fond memories of you and Mike on the playing field. All the best to you Bob and your family in this time of sorrow.

To the Sabolyk family, I'm very sorry to hear about Mike's passing. I have very fond memories of our years in Berlin. My condolences to all his family and specially to you Bob. May God grant you peace and confort you and your family in your loss. Please keep in touch. I live in Puerto Rico but I have not forgotten my friends from Berlin.

Mike was ny best friend during our Berlin years. I was fortunate to have visited him in New Orleans a month before Katrina. I hadn't seen him in 40 years. My condolences to his family and the grief you are experiencing with your loss of Mike.

What a great loss. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Sabolyk Family. I have such fond memories of Bob and Mike as little guys in Berlin. Rest in peace my friend.

To the entire Sabolyk family go our deepest sympathies on the loss of your dear Mike. To all of us, his classmates at Berlin American High School, he was a true friend and a wonderful young man. He'll be in our hearts and prayers always. We're thankful to God for having him in our lives and for the many wonderful memories he gave us. We're saddened even more that we won't have the chance to see him at our reunions.

Pat & Rob: Your family has our our deepest& heartfelt sympathy on Mike's passing.
