Hey pops I come back to this obituary every once in awhile to read all the nice things people said. Everyone loved you, its almost 10 years later and it feels like I lost you yesterday. I think of you all time, wondering if you would be proud of me. Imagining all the wise things you would've had to day through the years. 12 years wasn't enough time with you but 100 years wouldn't be either. I miss hearing you sing fire on the mountain, I try to imagine how it would sound now with your voice...

Think of you all the time. Miss you. R.I.P.

It feels like a horrible long day which turned into a year... Going through the days without you couldn't be less heartbreaking than day one. I miss our talks and fights, I miss your scoldings as rare as those were, I miss hearing you say hey beautiful whenever on the phone, how much you loved your family, how your face lit up when you talked about your girls'... I miss your smile and the way you'd say stupid huh after a lame funny joke. I miss the ride or die friendship and love you gave...
